The place d'italie
The Haussmannian beauty
Located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, the Place d'Italie is the meeting point between the main districts of the arrondissement: Gobelins, Butte-aux-Cailles.
It is the obligatory crossing point for car traffic and most metro and bus lines. It is a transit point between the suburbs and the centre of Paris, or between the Montparnasse district and the Right Bank. One of the largest shopping centres in Paris borders the square.
It is also a place for nightlife, with restaurants and cinemas. You could say that the whole of the 13th arrondissement converges on the Place d'Italie!
The district is also a Mecca for Parisian street art. Fans will enjoy wandering the streets in search of the many works painted on the walls and facades of buildings.
You will find many of them on Boulevard Vincent Auriol and in the Butte-aux-Cailles district.
